Good morning, sweet fruits! The sun is shining, the birds are singing... it's a wonderful day to get up and start the season properly. When you wake up, you're very quickly herded off the boat by a string of harried bunnies who are shouting about schedules and timing. You'll find the Fruit Hosts (Lemon, Lime, and L'orange) have come down to the beach to greet you, and lead you to your brand new home! Why don't you check it out? While you know that there's a lot in store this week (such as an event on Wednesday and a mysterious all-day broadcasting scheduled for Saturday), until then? You're free to live your life. Explore your new locations, get to know your team (including your team leaders!) and get used to the feeling of being watched at all times. The only place you're safe from cameras are in your team bedrooms and in the bathrooms. Remember that. Or perhaps you do want to be in front of the cameras? Well, have no fear. The Confessional has arrived. Located in the mansion, this little slice of reality tv is there for all contestants to really get juicy. Check out the page for how it all works. Hmm... but after the initial excitement of moving into your lounge and new home fades, you'll find that you feel sort of itchy and scratchy. There's someone on your mind, right? Someone special. And it's not necessarily romantic (though it could be if you're brave enough), but you are drawn to this person intrinsically - you want to hang out with them basically forever. Almost as if a red string connects your fates.

A NEW CHALLENGE APPROACHES

Whoa, remember that thing we said about twists? Well, here's one for you. It's red string week! This effect means that your character and another are intrinsically linked. You want to be next to them at all times. You want to talk to them. Hold their hand. Cuddle and hug and spend soooo much time with them. Well, in a purely platonic way of course. This doesn't mean that you have to be around each other 24/7, but the more time you spend away from each other — the stronger urge to see them again. How sweet? And how very awkward if you happen to be matched up to someone who's not on your team. Whoopsies.

The first page of this thing said that there could be red herrings and changes.
But all the strange ones can't be fakes?
At least Silas sounds normal.

Perhaps we should consider it from a new angle: what would blend best and fool us into thinking they're genuine?

At least some of them I can make guesses, based off of the stuff that could be true if you take them at face value... like 27 could maybe be Michiru because of the hair over his eyes.

I'm here and my brain says I think the fakes are meant to be funny and strange rather than genuinely tricky.

no that's not the part i'm rejecting i would completely believe some of us are that weird
but the thing about a good red herring is it can't seem extremely outlandish or it doesn't work
it blends in just enough that without a second look you can easily be fooled
so we have some work ahead of us here it seems like

Probably they think this will be entertaining, so the red herrings are the ones we're glossing over, if any are truly subtle, and the changes that are super, very outlandish are the ones that are getting laughs from the people watching.

and anyone watching is just glad it's us looking stupid and not them so they can sit back and talk about how it was so obvious when we missed something

I have a feeling that's going to happen to us a lot during this whole competition.

the appeal of reality tv is that none of it is real but they market it to you to show how wild real can get
