Good morning, sweet fruits! The sun is shining, the birds are singing... it's a wonderful day to get up and start the season properly. When you wake up, you're very quickly herded off the boat by a string of harried bunnies who are shouting about schedules and timing. You'll find the Fruit Hosts (Lemon, Lime, and L'orange) have come down to the beach to greet you, and lead you to your brand new home! Why don't you check it out? While you know that there's a lot in store this week (such as an event on Wednesday and a mysterious all-day broadcasting scheduled for Saturday), until then? You're free to live your life. Explore your new locations, get to know your team (including your team leaders!) and get used to the feeling of being watched at all times. The only place you're safe from cameras are in your team bedrooms and in the bathrooms. Remember that. Or perhaps you do want to be in front of the cameras? Well, have no fear. The Confessional has arrived. Located in the mansion, this little slice of reality tv is there for all contestants to really get juicy. Check out the page for how it all works. Hmm... but after the initial excitement of moving into your lounge and new home fades, you'll find that you feel sort of itchy and scratchy. There's someone on your mind, right? Someone special. And it's not necessarily romantic (though it could be if you're brave enough), but you are drawn to this person intrinsically - you want to hang out with them basically forever. Almost as if a red string connects your fates.

A NEW CHALLENGE APPROACHES

Whoa, remember that thing we said about twists? Well, here's one for you. It's red string week! This effect means that your character and another are intrinsically linked. You want to be next to them at all times. You want to talk to them. Hold their hand. Cuddle and hug and spend soooo much time with them. Well, in a purely platonic way of course. This doesn't mean that you have to be around each other 24/7, but the more time you spend away from each other — the stronger urge to see them again. How sweet? And how very awkward if you happen to be matched up to someone who's not on your team. Whoopsies.

Well! I have been turned into a frog before. I cannae say my ribbits are better than my meows!

Hm? What kind of sorcery turns anybody into frogs? The only magic I know that does that is from fairy tales.

Plenty of fiends have access to that spell. Though if you notice it being cast, your best bet is to get outta there very fast!

Plenty...? Do you tend to encounter magical beings like that often?

Oh, plenty. But you might call me a magical being yourself!

[ i mean. you could. he is a talking cat. he has also called himself a regular cat though. pick a lane, cait. ]

[Rui blinks. Only now it dawns on him Cait Sith is an oddity. Heck, he looks around and for once I start considering that, maybe, this is a group full of strange-looking people]

Now that I think about it, there are several unusual people here.

I didn't think it was anything to make any sort of scandal about. People are people.

[More like he got too used to the shenanigans of the SEKAI, where things can be alive and colorful elements are everywhere. He doesn't mention it's actually he having gotten numb to oddities thanks to that, so instead he spins it as some sort of open-minded thing]

Well, of course! But if you're only used to humans, you'd expect a bit more of a reaction, wouldnae ye?

[Think of a lie, Rui, the SEKAI is supposed to be secret. Hmmm...]

Oh, but you underestimate the sort of fantastical things the shows I direct have! I have been part of many bizarre and whimsical situations thanks to that.

[ rui truly could have said his world is fantastical and cait would have had to believe it. instead this one is like "hmm. sus." but cait just peers up at him ]

Is that so, lad? What kind of situations?

Zombies attacking, alchemists doing magic. People with skin of all kind of colors. Moving trees, flying trains.

Flying trains, you say? How's that different from planes?

I mean--no, not really, it's not like something that's known to happen sometimes. It was more of a one-off thing.

[ ohhh? ]

Like an actual fairy tale curse then? Did a maiden have to kiss you back?

Uh, no. A dragon did it. And then he un-frog-ed us as a show of faith to his other dragon friends.

[abracatdabra]

[ well that's normal. all bosses can turn you into frogs so a dragon turning you into a frog is normal. but uh ]

A show of faith to his friends, y'say? How did that work? I've never even seen a dragon communicate.

[frostythehitman]

Well, these ones could. Conversations aplenty. Something about them not wanting to destroy the whole world, that's why they unfrogged us, as proof they meant well.

... Were they thinking of doin' it before they unfrogged you?

[frostythehitman]

No, that was never the goal. They were just trying to find and protect a bunch of dragon eggs. But they caused a lot of collateral damage that sure made it look like they were trying to destroy everything.

[abracatdabra]

Dragon eggs... So they were just protectin' their young, then? How did all of you wind up in the same space?

[frostythehitman]

At the time, I was on a team that handled emergencies like "dragons are suddenly attacking." It was kind of my job to wind up wherever this stuff was happening.

Sort of an emergency affairs squad then?
